# 2D Drawing - LOCK button

**The problem that this feature will solve:**

**Brief description of the outcomes that you expect from this feature:**

With this feature I can lock the rotation in 3D space and speed up my 2D design work. I click the LOCK icon, I move around the screen in only 2 directions without rotation. If the program detects an attempt to rotate into 3D space, the LOCK icon flashes (which is how the space lock button is alerting itself). A 3-finger touch gesture could be used for quick selection.

**What can’t you achieve without this feature?**

This feature speeds up work in 2D drawing.

i’m confused - isn’t that a sketch (not a drawing) in your screenshot?

That’s just a translation/terminology mistake. A lot of people call sketches “drawings.”  
I also asked for the ability to lock the POV, especially on iPad.

translation error. In our country, a sketch is the first drawing when an idea is put on paper with a pencil. Drawing is a more complex work. Yes, in the shapr3D terminology, I meant sketches 😉
