Also to add to GroMark’s transmission suggestion.

Emission should not cast shadows, this has been known issue for a long time.

Not sure whether this is the right place, but transparent materials reduce the intensity of light and color too much. At least it should be adjustable. In this example the acrylic has 100% transparency and pure white color.
