Please add capability to align a cylinder or cone to a construction axis.

See this discussion:

Currently this alignment requires a fair amount of work. We currently can align a planar face to a construction plane; this would be similar, but for cylinders and cones to align to a construction axis.

This feature will save time when needing to align a cylinder to an arbitrary construction axis.

While not a blocker, the current method is awkward.

I agree and would like to +1 this request. Any face should be alignable to a construction axis.

Use case: After importing a model with a hole on a complex surface, how to create a countersink?

One way is to create an axis using the cylindrical hole. But after that, the current state of affairs feels … unsatisfactory. I’m bumbling around trying to figure it out.

I found another align method.

While making that video I discovered you can project Construction Axis.

So another method.

Ok after doing examples above.

Another scenario came to mind!

What if you imported a square with a hole how would you align that property with the axis?
