Aligning on axis and working with numbers for the axis

Right now when I align something it will always only jump to one axis and change other axis. Imagine I want to align something on the x axis but not change y axis…it would be super easy if I could just select what I want to align and deselect the axis I don’t want to align. I used to work with this a lot when using 3ds max and found that quite helpful.
Also for example it would be helpful to just get the x-axis coordination information from one object, copy it and then just move the other object to it.

Quicker workflow due to less click and point and working around things.
