I’m trying to create a block with angled slots for some files (tools). I’ve drawn the basic shape in 2d with the appropriate slot widths. How do I extrude the shape so the main body is a rectangular block and the slots angle down form the front edge to somewhere just above the back edge? (Like a knife blocke where the body sits flat and the knives enter at a downward angle. )

Here’s my basic drawing.

I figured out a way to do it but it was way less elegant than your first solution. I tried doing it that way but got stuck where you used the pattern command to copy the slots. I selected the internal faces as it appeared you did (offset face) but then Pattern was never an option for me to choose. Did I miss something?

Make sure you didn’t select anything extra.

Also you can start from selection pattern tool and after that selection faces.
