# ANY Custom Grid Size

**The problem that this feature will solve:**

For laser cutting objects, it would be HUGELY helpful to be able to specify a grid size that is not 1, 5, 10, etc. If users can set the grid size to the thickness of their material, then it would be really easy to create male and female tabs for intersection of laser cut components.

Without this, I can lock the grid to 1mm and it helps a little, but it’s nowhere near as easy as having 3mm (or 6mm) grid spacings would be.

Please consider adding a way to lock the grid to any user-specified dimension.
