# Any news on SVG file importing?

Would be nice if they got imported and automatically converted into a sketch.

I guess they want to market Shapr more as an engineering tool

I’m sure they’ve got a lot of other bugs and features that take priority over this but I’d really love this feature too. Coming from a print/web design background and as someone who’s just taken up modelling, Shapr 3D has been the easiest most natural feeling step over for me into the world of product creation. I feel like the audience would grow in size more if the step between vector drawing apps and Shapr narrowed a bit more.
