# Artifact Left Behind After Extrusion

After extruding this corner, it leaves behind this artifact. I’ve tried the same thing on the opposite side and it does the same thing. Any idea what’s causing this and what I can do to get rid of it? TIA!

I redid it and it’s doing it again with a different shape.

Hard to tell from what’s shown. If you would like to investigate further I suggest checking out the Parametric History and trying before and after your extrusion. Also, you can post those screenshots of before and after here, it’s difficult to tell from just the final results so we need to see some steps of what you did before.
