# Bizarre Line Jump in Sketch

Simple sketch with two locked lines… Add a third line. I want to shorten to 4.53 with input dialog. In a bizarre manner, it jumps 180 degrees in direction! Doing some testing, when I shorten it to 13 or less it does this…

Thanks for looking at this.

… Playing around with this some more, I entered a negative dimension and the length seemed to have no correspondence with absolute value of the input. This brings about the question, why do you allow a negative dimension input for a line?
