# Body disappearing while extracting

Hi everyone.
I want to make a board that slides into the dado, and have it extend a little further. When I draw a rectangle on the plane of the back and extend it, it disappears once it gets past the end of the dado and the dado starts to extend.
When I do it in 2 steps it works.
Can anyone explain why this doesn’t work in one go? It seems to me that this should be possible.

Hi,
When two bodies start to intersect each other, the boolean operation changes to Subtract automatically. You can override it manually in the boolean menu. I recorded a very short video, I hope it explains:

In your video, it happens when the end of the new body starts to intersect with the already existing part.
