# Can't find lock/unlock grid size or undo/redo

can’t find lock/unlock grid size or undo/redo  
in 5.44 new version

I’m a little out of practice, as well.

if there is a guide for this version,  
please point me to it

found the grid stuff, - upper right corner, second down  
still looking for the undo/redo

This revision doesn’t consider the experience of using iPad at all, so I decided to release this version as soon as I patted my head. The function key that is used so frequently for the Undo/Restore key has to stop to find him and click Undo/Restore. Is this the iPad version revised by PC users? This version is so annoying that it is better not to upgrade.

@martinchou, I understand you find this release more difficult to use than the previous ones. Is there anything else besides the location of Undo/Redo that you struggle with?

I just want to clarify that we consider all our platforms (iPad, Windows desktops and tablets, macOS) top priorities, and we _did_ take all of them into account when updating the design and customized it to meet the needs of each platform and also did extensive user testing everywhere. Undo/Redo is actually one of the few things that is located in a different place on each platform. Moving it from the bottom corner on iPad was a difficult decision that we made to create room for other functionality there. But this decision is, of course, not written in stone and we are open to make changes if we see that it causes problems for many users even after they got through the first, admittedly difficult time to get used to it.

Thank you for the illustration. We really do understand the concerns about the location of the undo button and we take it seriously.

Is there anything besides that that you find difficult to use after the UI refresh?

Found the manual, thanks very much.

fwiw - I hadn’t been on shapr3d for a while, and I found  
my way fairly quick. And I’m not very proficient.  
And I have a keybrd, and cmd-z was right there. So  
undo/redo wasn’t really an issue.

I’m very positive on shapr3d. I think it’s the best ipad  
app I’ve seen so far. I use a 12.9 pro gen 1, and I  
just think shapr3d is wonderful. I’ve been on the ipad  
since gen 1 in 2010.

For this app, and the response, thank you kindly!

another 2 cents  
I use the ipad mostly, because I started out with skp  
and a space mouse. And the space mouse didn’t seem  
to work as well on shapr3d. This was a long time ago,  
maybe last year.  
Just commenting to add interest in the 3D space mouse.

We have significantly improved the spacemouse experience since then. Why don’t you give it another try?
