# Can't select axis for plane thru edge at angle

selecting a line works. can’t make it select axis.

@RonJeffries  
It certainly does not seem to work with any of the XYZ Axis.  
As a workaround Sketch a Line on the required Axis.

@RonJeffries I have Edited my Post above.

I should have said that **Add \> Construction Axis** is the ‘Axis’ referred to in this case:
