This is Cerberus (aka Triple6).

A highly modified Ender6 corexy 3d printer with triple Z axis adjustment like the Trident 3d printer. I’ve built and engineered everything for this in Shapr. Hundreds of hours just in the model.

Now after delays due to the update, hundreds of hours of printing parts, modifying the CAD, re-printing and repeat. I finally have 96% physically built. I’m still waiting on some parts and need to sort some things out before testing and will no doubt have some further development work to do. But what started as an idea, morphed in CAD, is now physically in front of me. Pretty amazing what can be done if you stick it out and I’m damn excited to finish it up and see what it’ll do.

Nicely done. I’m impressed.
What filament material(s) do you use for the printer parts?

Thanks @Shaun and @TigerMike

I used all ABS and ASA for all the printed parts.

Great Work, just curious was the whole 3d Printer done in Shapr3d and about how long would you say it took you to do.

Thank you

Yes it was, total probably about 400hrs. Based some stuff on imported models. A lot of the time is from having multiple variations for different specs, belt sizes, build plates, etc, designing and engineering my own toolhead and a ton of one off parts to work within the parameters of an existing printer.

Lost a ton of work when the update occurred and corrupted the file rendering it unusable. So can only work with what’s visible now and will probably have to re-do a lot of that work unless Shapr comes up with a solution.

Well done, it’ll be good to get 3D printing. I agree with your comment, it’s hugely satisfying to see the concept and design through to a build. Shapr3d makes the process much more enjoyable than many other CAD tools.
