# Copy not working with patterns

When selecting an object that is part of a pattern, then selecting move, and toggling the copy button, instead of copying the entire pattern, it only copies the selected object. This seems completely counterintuitive. What’s the purpose of a pattern if you can’t copy the entire thing?

I usually group the parts of the pattern, which puts them into their own folder. selecting the folder then allows me to move all the parts together.

The Pattern tool creates a folder with all parts of the pattern in it by default, to make it easier to select them.
