Hello everyone,

I’m starting out on this software that I find great.

I created a 3D drawer representing my kitchen drawer. The sides are not straight by design.

I want to print drawer organizers for my utensils. To do this, I first want to create the volume that will fill the drawer perfectly, taking into account a tolerance of about 2-3 mm.

Then, I intend to “dig” the volume with all my utensils.

I admit that I don’t really know how to create this filling volume, then remove 2-3 mm for tolerance.

Can you give me some clues?

Thank you for your help!

Hi @Nykiel ,
Try this:

- Select the top faces of your sides, front and back. Then use the **Project** tool and project those faces to the bottom of your drawer. That will give you the exact size of the inner part of the drawer.
- **Extrude** the bottom face up as far as you want your “dig” volume to be. Be sure to choose the **New Body** option of extrude.
- **Isolate** that new body.
- Select the faces of the sides, front and back of your new body.
- **Offset Face** with a negative 2-3 mm.

That should give you what you want.
