# Creating supports for overhangs

I’m trying to figure out how to add supports under bridges and overhangs for 3D printing. Is it automatically done on export or am I missing something? Thanks in advance

Perhaps this is ( automatically) done by your Slicer application?

All I have is the shapr3d. Do I need another app?

Any support material needed to 3D print the part, is added by the slicing software. In some cases, you can turn on, or off supports.

All 3D printers come with their own, or a generic slicer. If you are sending out your file for printing, the printing service will use their slicer software for their printer.
