When using custom materials I have this ugly looking cross in the centre. Is there any way to avoid this?

As an explanation: the material used is a photo of a floor tile projected on a flat surface (which in turn mimics a floor tile in the 3D representation of my living room)

You need to create a seamless image outside of Shapr3d and then add it. See the following post requesting that add an option to do this automatically for custom materials.

[Seamless Image](https://discourse.shapr3d.com/t/26-60-custom-materials-from-images/40659/3)

PS this isn’t a perfect fix since even seamless materials will have a visible repeating pattern when tiled.

Thanks for taking the time to answer 🙂

Yeah, I kinda figured that too. And to make it 100% clear I’ve come up with a test-texture. That explains it pretty well. I wished there would be an option for ‘projecting’ the texture plain onto flat surfaces.

In case anyone is interested: I came up with a little cli-tool in C# (~110 lines) that re-organizes the quadrants of an image so that it imports ‘correctly’ 🙂

As one can see, the tile (left bottom) looks absolutely fine now 🙂
