# Deleted comments - can they be completely removed?

On occasion, I have commented on a post in error or made a typo and then deleted my comment.

However, the ‘deleted’ comment still remains in the thread making it look a little messy.

Would it be possible to completely remove a deleted comment?

i don’t think so. i think it’s a feature of the forum software they’re using.
