# Delta updates on MacOs

Currently I have to download a 1.3GiB dmg every time you make an update/new version. This is a very wasteful process.

You should be using something like [Sparkle](https://sparkle-project.org/documentation/) to do delta updates, so only those files which have changed in your ~2GiB (on disk) application are updated when a new release is shipped.

I expect that this feature will save EVERYBODY bandwidth and a lot of pain with having to quit shapr3d, download the update, open the dmg file, copy it to applications and then re-launch.
