# Dimensions of ellipse not showing up

I’m trying to figure out why the dimensions of my ellipse aren’t showing up? I’m following [this tutorial](https://support.shapr3d.com/hc/en-us/articles/12469864912412-Define-your-design-with-curve-networks) where the instructor’s ellipses show dimensions on them, but mine are blank

For dimensions to be shown, you have to set them first. If you just draw the ellipse but don’t set any dimensions, they won’t be shown either.
