# Drawing Newel Post Components

Hi There, I am new to 3D modelling and Shapr3D. I could really use some help with trying to draw part of a Newel post. I can’t get my head around how to draw the outlined object in the picture. I can’t seem to recreate the rounded edges of the top and bottom face.

Any help or ideas would be very much appreciated.

Draw a cyilinder, fillet the edges, and then cut off the sides to get a recrangular block.
