# DXF for laser cutting

I’m stuck. I’m trying to send a dxf to an online laser cutter but the flat pattern shows “node points” at start and end of radii or corners, etc. How do I create a DXF without these node points?

Hi, If you have understood what you mean. If you try to use an updated point outside the parts, or switch to another program, you can choose the starting point, such as the Infinity Design app or Artcam.

I export DXF to my laser without issue. There is an anomaly however, where the DXF must be from the top view. Any other lines or parallel planes with lines, will create issues for my laser. Once I found this, I do all my 2D work in the top view, and it all exports fine.
