# Easier way to input Variables on iPad

**The problem that this feature will solve:**

I like the way the number input is fast with variables, just TAP and CHANGE.

But for Variable Name its Tap, Hold, Popup, Select Rename. Can we just Tap to Rename and Tap and Hold to get more options?

Also can we get the Variable on the Main Menu under the Search icon so its just always present and become more efficient to use.

For people who use Scribble to write and input dimensions on the iPad can we just scribble the variable plus the dimensions like this: gap=5

**What can’t you achieve without this feature?**
