I created a model of a set in Shapr3D, now I need to export the pieces to be laser cut in sheets of wood. I laid out the different pieces on a single plane thinking that since you can export vector images I would be able to export the top view as a svg to send to the laser cutter as I had done before with SketchUp.

The svg however is only exporting drawings that were never made into 3d objects, but I made mine 3mm thick so that I could piece them together in 3d space.

I’ve tried to flatten my pieces back down, but the program won’t allow this.

Need help badly, I don’t have time to build my set again in another program.

You are correct in using the top view. Export the sketches only. I don’t even do the 3D version. Let me double check the steps I use.
