Hi, I find the section view very useful, but it is hampered by the fact that it merges all the material surfaces into one shaded area. Generally speaking, one of the main purposes for using a section view is to show the layers of a slice through multiple objects. Without some demarcation of the regions this becomes pretty pointless for anything other than seeing into internal voids. Please add edge lines to the section view so that we can see the layers of the items we are slicing through. Or even better, add the edge lines and the ability to assign materials to parts with different section shaders.

I can only second that, as I also slice often through multiply objects and they cannot be distinguished if they are on a tight fit.

Here is one more voice complaining about the lack of demarcation in section view

also, when you cut up an assembly with several parts, you normally make the crossing different in different bodies

> Hello, I submit the following request regarding section views. I use this function very often, but the hatched representation is “ugly” and useless when the blocks are adjacent, (nothing distinguishes them). In some complex projects, I have to cut the blocks to distinguish them and then reassemble them later. I am submitting examples to illustrate my point and proposing a solution that would consist of making the section transparent and colored to distinguish them.
