# Filing my Projects on my machine and not in the cloud

I am having problems in that Shapr3D that is automatically storing my projects in the cloud, and I only want them stored and backed up on my machine as it is in turn backed up on a server. This in-cloud storage takes far too long and also causes work flow problems and delays as the files become bigger.
Is there a setting to resolve this?

You can turn off the cloud if you want to. What problems does it cause you?

Hello Istvan,
The synchronization takes a very long time and the slows down other internet access.
At the same time I need to know where the original Shapr3D files are stored, so that if I turn off the cloud I do not lose any files.
Otherwise an excellent program. Some improvements could be done with snaps and a clipboard feature to copy and paste between files.

I see. Even if you are using the cloud, all your data is mirrored locally, so you can access it even if you don’t have a network connection. Sync will become dramatically faster this year.
