Hello,
I am a user of Shapr3D on iPad. I have question.

Q1. I am working on a model called “A,” and as I repeatedly add, delete, copy, and reload parts, the model has become quite heavy. Even after removing unnecessary elements, the file size has grown significantly, and it takes about three minutes to open. It seems like unnecessary data has accumulated. The situation hasn’t improved much despite deleting these elements. Could you please let me know how to remove unnecessary data and speed up the process?

Maybe the project history is bloated?

If it’s so, are there any solution for that?
I’m facing same problem here.
Thanks.

Collapse the history. But you lose editing functionality.

Before you do make a backup copy of your project if it is critical.

Yes Oregonerd is right,

Thank you, I will check how to collapse the history.

It sounds like the file may have accumulated unused data or remnants of deleted parts, which could be contributing to the file’s size and load times. Here are a few steps you can take to clean up your model and potentially reduce its size:

### 1. **Purge Unused Elements** :

- After deleting parts, ensure that there are no remaining sketch elements, construction planes, or hidden bodies that might still be consuming memory. You can use the **Items Manager** to find and manually delete any unused or hidden items.

### 2. **Merge History** :

- If you have a long history of changes (additions, deletions, etc.), consider using the **Merge History** function to consolidate the design history and simplify the model’s internal structure. This could reduce file size by eliminating unnecessary steps in the history.

### 3. **Check for Hidden Bodies** :

- Make sure no unnecessary bodies or sketches are hidden within the workspace. Hidden elements can still contribute to file size, so delete any that are not in use.

### 4. **Update Shapr3D** :

- Ensure your version of Shapr3D is up to date. Updates often contain performance improvements and optimizations that can help with file handling.

After trying these steps, you should notice improvements in both file size and performance. Let me know if any of these helped or if you’d like more specific guidance!
