# History search, filter and sort feature

## **Brief description of the outcomes that you expect from this feature:**

Would be much easier to work with history if it has:

- Search by action name, for example input field can be placed instead of “History” title on the screenshot;
- Filter by action type, so I can see only extrusions for example;
- Order function. For me personally it would be much better if newest actions will be on top.

Also ability to reach one of actions parameters from “Search commands”. By pressing enter going to exact action and open it.

## **What can’t you achieve without this feature?**

Hard to find single history action then where are a lot of them.

Great ideas, thank you. Are you aware that the history panel will show you only the related steps if you select a geometry?

I am aware. But sometimes it take some time to find needed action. Also scrolling to the last action all the time a little bit annoying, so order would be helpful too.

Also would be useful to assign colours or some marks to history actions.

yes 100% agree. A lot of the niggles now with the app are it’s UI. It’s painfully slow sometimes to home in on a history item you’re looking for. Just a simple filter to filter for Extrudes, Double Extudes, sketches etc… There needs to be a much more granually search to the history panel and the Current Inventory panel on the left. I reckon I could increase efficiency using the tool 40% at least if it was there.

And I am all for (as suggested earlier) a reversed History (latest on topp).  
I believe it would make the understanding of the parametrics much more accessible and easy to learn as you then, live, could notice every action you take.
