How to create models with complex surfaces?

Such as making models of airplanes or cars.

If I have a **blueprint with profile maps** , I can draw all the profile maps and **loft** them, to create surfaces. But the effiency is very low, making a model will consume too much time and make me very tired. How can we rise up the effiency of making these models?

But if I don’t have blueprint with profile maps, I don’t know how to make them.

Breaking this project up into the major parts is the only way to achieve this without the plans.

You can import images in the form of hand drawn sketches or pictures to draw over the top of. With 3 images (side, top and front) you can makes your own profiles.
