Hello,

I am trying to extrude a panel from a sketch that contains parts of bodies but also empty space. When I try and select the area to extrude I am unable to select the middle empty space. and am only left with the part of the sketch that overlaps the body. If I were to offset a plane from the surface and sketch on that I would be able to select the full space, but that doesnt work in this situation. Is there something I am missing that will let me select the full space?

you might want to double check to make sure your sketch is completely closes at the ends or maybe a overlapping line. If it is completely closed it should showed shaded light blue

Hi Mitchell,

Try hiding the large body. Then you should be able to select the sketch for the panel and extrude.
