# How to loft a multiplanar object

I have a diamond tuft that I’m trying to make.

It’s a different shape at different points, and although the loft tool seems the most obvious choice, it won’t go different directions.

Ideas? I’m doing it without buttons.

See if this helps: Extrude you profile on one side of the square into a body. Use the move tool to copy the body rotated 90 degrees. Use the intersect tool. Done.

Took your original idea and made it so it can be loft.

Note the highlighted part is level so the pattern continues smoothly and crease only happens near the button.
