# How to make a long oval dome

I am trying to make a long oval dome and I am an extreme newbie. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Good way Tony. You can save a couple of steps by changing the rotation to 180° when you do the revolve.

Matt,
according to the instructions of @TigerMike
As soon as you revolve the 1/2 ellipse around the axis, before you click “Done”, you can enter 180°, and this will result in the dome. Therefore you will not have to do the extra steps of splitting, etc.
