Hi I am new to Shapr3D.

Is it possible to modify details of an imported body?
I am importing an STL file from thingiverse (an empty dox design that is an insert for a toolbox) and I would like to modify wall thickness, z-axis height etc. It imports as a single item that is not modifyable… any way to “explode” it into its individual components?

You cannot do anything with STLs other than Boolean operations. If you want to do more precise modifications, you need to convert the STL mesh to a solid body (e.g. STEP file) before importing. Just be aware that you can get some weird artifacts in the converted mesh that may make modifications frustrating.
