# How to use Shapr3D to model 3D synapse and neuron

I have no idea how to create 3D synapse and neuron models since shapes are irregular.

For more organic shapes, it’s usually [the Loft tool](https://support.shapr3d.com/hc/en-us/articles/7874427572508-Loft) that provides the best solution. We’ve just recently published a great tutorial that explains its usage via a real-life example. Note that to make the most of it, you might want to check out the [parametric beta version](https://www.shapr3d.com/download/beta) as that allows you to adjust the underlying sketches and see the lofted shapes change in real-time.

Thank you for the answer. I will just try loft tool first with my current version.
