# I cant extrude no matter what on the tutorial

Whenever i try to extrude and click on the shape i cant get the icon to appear. I tried everything like a microscopic gap, overlapping faces, imported mesh. Yet i cant get this thing to work. Fyi Im using an ipad with bluetooth mouse and keyboard and works like a charm anywhere else but somehow completely unresponvise whenever i try to get the extrude icon to appear. This has been very frustrating And i need to model a 3d model for my upcoming robotic competion

Hey, can you please share some additional info with us in a [support ticket](https://support.shapr3d.com/hc/en-us/requests/new)?

- short [screen recording](https://support.shapr3d.com/hc/en-us/articles/11016383589404-Create-screen-recordings-for-your-request#screen-recording-windows) while the tutorial mode is enabled on your device, so we can see your movement on the screen
- Shapr3D version number
