# I want to align two bodies to another body

Hi,

I want to align two bodies to another body in Shapr3D on Mac like in the video here.

He is able to select a group which includes two bodies. He then has access to the align function while still selecting the two bodies. He then selects a face on one of the grouped bodies and selects a face on a third body. The two grouped items move together to align with the face of the third body.

When I select two or more bodies, the align tool is made not available and so when I try to align these bodies to another body, I can only align one body at a time.

Can anyone advise on how to achieve what he is doing in the video?

Are you working with imported model? I ask because thats when tools like Align doesn’t appear.

I’m on the Mac I can duplicate the behavior on that video and works way it is shown.

Hi, thanks for the feedback.

I spent so long trying to get it… turns out I was on an old version of Shapr3D that didn’t have that functionality available. Just updated. Working fine now. Thank you 🙂
