# Image Importing with Transparency (Mac vs iOS)

I created an image in Illustrator, exported it as PNG, and then imported it into Shapr3D on my M1 Mac. It looks great on the Mac like this:

However, when I open that .shapr file (or even if I do a fresh import of that same PNG) directly on the iPad, I get the following:

Why is this happening? Shouldn’t there be greater support for iOS since it’s been out longer on the iPad?

Hi! Can you please try to export the picture as a PNG-8 image and give it a try?

Could you please also share the picture and the version of the iPad and Shapr3D you are using? Thanks 🙂
