# Import Designs

Hi how i can i import in a open design with the add command other design that are located on my designs page on a iPad – local storage on the iPad  
Or do need always to export the designs to an Cloud based folder?

Hi there,  
You must export the .shapr file to either a cloud folder or just a folder On My iPad in the files app. It’s not very intuitive but the models on the Design page are not able to be imported directly. It took me a moment to figure this out as well.

Thanks for your reply,  
I have found a work around…  
But it should be available to move all your or designs out of the special folder of shapr3D to another folder, or have a setting for the storage location of the designs. It is not that hard to add this selection in the app.
