# Import file size limit

Heyyy is there a limit on the size of stp file I can successfully import?

If not, does anyone mind trying to open a file for me? Won’t open in my app…

Hi Rob,

as we discussed earlier there is no explicit size limit for STEP import. Of course if the file is extremely complex / unsuitable for solid modeling there will be issues during import or later during editing.
