# Importing CAD file DWG files to view

I am reviewing Shapr3D to purchase to view cad drawings (dwg/dfx) files and to created drawing 2d and 3d. When importing the file I do not get details of the project such as dimensions and alpha description.
Would this just be a setting feature I have to select or is this a function Shapr3d does not support? If it does not then Shapr3D would not be an option as a software to purchase.

Shapr3D is not an ideal solution for viewing DWG files. The purpose of DWG files in the Shapr3D is to use them as sketches.

Yes you just can’t make something one size fits all. Shapr3d is good for 3D solid modeling.
