# Importing error - Forger

hello,

I am running into a problem that every t me I attempt to open a Forger STL, Shapr3D either closes out of the app or an import error message appears at the top of the screen. I have no trouble importing Zbrush STLs, or STLs available for free download online. are Forger files not supported?

Hello jonamill

I use apart from forger, this other app “sculptura” with which I can modify the stl of shapr3D. with foger I could not use any stl to be able to work with them.  
Hope this can help you

you can export your model in obj from shapr3D and then edit it in forger.

Thank you, but I am attempting to do the reverse. I want to edit a file I made in Forger in Shapr3D.
