I recently had to update to Solidworks 2025 and any file made with/update to this version, consistently gives an “Import Failed” popup. I tried both old files converted to the new SW version, as well as files made fresh with the 2025 version, both give this error. Anyone encountered this before or know of a fix? Currently have to export every model I need to parasolid, which is quite the hassle.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,
Can’t reproduce your issue.

I’m importing a file made in Solidworks, into Shapr3D. I haven’t tried exporting a file from Onshape, to a SLDPRT file, and importing that. Onshape may very well be using an older version of the SLDPRT format.

To be more clear, a file saved in Solidworks 2023 works fine, but once saved and updated to the 2025 version, it stops working
