# Ipad selection help

I wanna buy an Ipad to use Shapr3d but can’t afford the newest models of the Ipad Pro. I found a good deal on a used Ipad pro 9.7 or I could buy the Ipad Air 3. Which of these 2 would give me better performance?

Hi, thanks for reaching out today. Both devices are great. We usually reccommend the iPad Pro but iPad Air features the A12 Bionic chip under its hood, with a Neural Engine and an embedded M12 coprocessor, so performance wise it’s a great device.
