Thanks for the reply! I’ve tried searching for some videos to explain how to do this but can’t seem to find any that use shapr3d, can you recommend any?

I recommend you to watch official videos with demonstration of 3D tools usage.
This is very simple design you don’t really need a tutorial of how to make it. What you need is basic understanding of Solid 3D modeling.
You can watch tutorials for any other CAD, cause principles the same for every CAD.
If you really want to get tutorial for this exact design in Shapr3D you can pay someone to make such a video.

Ive watched quite a few but it seems different software call things/actions different names? Ive not found one specifically for shapr that explains how to do this.
I tried on slicer for fusion but couldn’t get it to slice in the way I wanted.
Like I said I have no experience in 3d modelling up until now Ive only ever used my cricut machine (if you know what that is) and it’s design software.

Type Shapr3D in search input on YouTube. There are a lot of videos from basics to complex designs.
If you want to learn this is the path. If you want just get a result then pay someone.

Thanks for the replies, is there a tool or function in shapr that will measure and work out the interlocking parts like slicer for fusion? This is what I’ve not been able to find in videos

I don’t remember function with such name in fusion. Do you have screenshots?
If you’re talking about “inspect → measure” then similar function in S3D is in the lower corner with name “Measure”. Also a lot of measurements can be done by selecting two items and reading info in the bottom bar.

Why not? I prefer modeling on the Mac but I also have iPad which I use then I have no access to Mac and have a couple of free minutes. During that time I do some simple stuff like that 🙂

Ok. That’s totally different software not Fusion 360. I thought we comparing CAD software.
I made a lot of furniture for my house in Shapr3D. Don’t really see a big necessity on any slicer for that.
