# Issues with new offset tool

I’ve been using Shapr3D for a while, I updated to the new version and the offset tool only works half of the time. Most uses result in a can’t offset this edge error. Any help would be appreciated.

Can you share a specific model where you experience this? We’ll compare it with a previous build.

Sure. I was modeling a Thor’s hammer, I wasn’t having any problems offsetting until the app updated. Yeah the offset tool in the tool menu does the same thing.

I am using the trial version and can’t send a Shapr file. I have managed to offset the face and sides using the single offset, but still can’t offset the diagonals.
