I would like to be able to have multiple independent sketches in the same plane, that can be geometrically linked.

**The problem that this feature will solve:**
In order to efficiently create a parametric model without creating unintended circular relationships, a very efficient method is to employ hierarchical linked sketches. At the top of the hierarchy you have a simple parametric diagram, then on top of this you add additional sketches with additional detail. The idea is to create a fully detailed set of skeleton sketches at the top of the history prior to creating (ideally) any solid geometry. This allows you to develop the design in some detail without the overhead of a solid model, and since the sketches are small and mostly independent, you can work with low latency and high robustness. This is a method developed many years ago by users of other parametric modeling systems.

**What can’t you achieve without this feature?**
Highly complex, parametric models with robustness.

_Is this a workflow blocker for you? Is this why you can’t use Shapr3D for work? Is this slowing you down?_
It greatly limits the complexity of project I can take on within Shapr.

Hi, this is already possible in the parametric beta. It’ll be rolled out soon for everyone.

Sure doesn’t seem to be working. I have 2 sketches in the same plane, but _cannot_ link an endpoint in current sketch to an existing endpoint in an earlier, visible sketch in the same plane. Maybe I’m missing the method?

Because you created two separate sketches on the same plane. You can project the sketches to each other if you want to link them.

Hey, that works great! I had missed the method of projecting sketch entities from one sketch to another. Bravo!
