# Loft fails "This selection can't be named"

it works when i try this same shape in a new project

(my ultimate goal here is making a rounded end to a lofted shape)

made the loft:

Not sure what your struggling with i was able to get it to happen first try. I think the only difference between yours and mine, is i hid the excess shapes so only the lofted shaped were visible.
