I’m a designer, new to CAD and Shapr3D. I’m trying to design an object that is perfectly symmetrical across one of the planes. In Max, maya or other 3D art programs, I can turn on mirroring and carry on modeling and everything is simply mirrored across until I turn it off again.

Can I do this in Shapr3D? What is the recommend workflow for mirrored modeling?

Thanks!
Brett

You should learn how to use the Symmetry and Mirror tools. There are videos available.

Best,

I watched the videos I could find by searching before I posted, and there didn’t seem to be a way to turn it on and leave it on. It always requires selecting something and mirroring it after each change which is not what I want.

We don’t have a mirror mode. The best practice would be to model one side, then mirror it when ready.
