# Moving a model to another project

Is there anyway to move a sculpt to another project? Or do I just remodel it?

You can export the model, and import it to another project.

It imports the entire file - even hidden things. There’s no way to export just the one thing you might need.

That would be the desire, optimally where you don’t have to outright save as shapr file and import, just copy from within to another whatever’s selected.

You need to “Isolate” the body you want to move to another project, then export it via “Parasolid”–,

then reimport it to your other project.

Frankly this is a clunky workflow-- there ought to be a smoother way to simply migrate or copy elements from one Shapr project to another, but here we are. . . .

I wish there was a way to export selected item _and_ sketches with relation _only_. Even if you copy, delete unwanted and merge for an export-import (.shapr) you are stuck with the merged (cloaked) history burdening the processing.
