# Moving sketch doesnt work

Hello, im having issues to move a sketch like on video tutorial [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NsPzc8iLORQ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NsPzc8iLORQ), it doesnt work the same way:

edit: ok this started to work after i used “disconnect” option , but why i had to use it?

Turn off auto-constraining and won’t have to 🙂

Also you can turn off snapping

And even after that, you can snap to some point without realizing it. In your sketch, it looks like you started from the coordinate center, and that automatically snaps your figure there.
